Planning Board Meeting of April 27, 2020

NOTICE is hereby given that the Planning Board of the Borough of Rockleigh, Bergen County, New Jersey, at its regular meeting on April 27, 2020, did adopt the following Resolution of Approval arising out of its Hearings conducted on February 24, 2020.

The Planning Board granted Revised Historic Review and Approval, a Revised Minor Soil Disturbance Permit, a Lot Coverage Variance for the main residence and two (2) Waivers of requirements of the Historic Review Application Checklist for the Applications of 5 Paris Avenue, LLC, for property designated as Lot 14 in Block 101, on the Tax Map of the Borough of Rockleigh, Bergen County, New Jersey, commonly known as 5 Paris Avenue, Rockleigh, New Jersey.

A copy of the above referred to Resolution memorializing the relief granted by the Planning Board is on file and available for inspection at the Office of the Planning Board of the Borough of Rockleigh at the Rockleigh Municipal Building, 26 Rockleigh Road, Rockleigh, New Jersey 07647, during regular business hours, subject to access due to the current health crisis (COVID-19). Currently, due to the current health crisis, the municipal building is closed to the public. A copy of said Resolution is currently available for inspection below.

"The PLANNING BOARD may prepare and, after public hearing adopt or amend a MASTER PLAN, or component parts thereof, to guide the use of lands within the municipality in a manner which protects the public health and safety and promotes the general welfare…The GOVERNING BODY shall, at least every six years, provide a general reexamination of its MASTER PLAN and development regulations by the PLANNING BOARD…(the zoning ordinance) shall be adopted after the PLANNING BOARD has adopted the land use element of a MASTER PLAN and all of the provisions of such zoning ordinance or any amendment or revision thereto shall either be substantially consistent with the land use element of the MASTER PLAN or designed to effectuate such plan element; provided that the GOVERNING BODY may adopt a zoning ordinance or amendment or revision thereto which in whole or in part is inconsistent with or not designed to affirmative vote of a majority of the full authorized membership of the GOVERNING BODY with the reasons of the GOVERNING BODY for so acting recorded in its minutes when adopting such a zoning ordinance."
